Tonight, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., Black Pastors United for Education will host a town hall with Pennsylvania candidates for U.S. Senate. The town hall meeting with members of local congregations will address questions and concerns about the state of education in America.
All candidates on the ballot in Pennsylvania have been invited. Dave McCormick, the Republican nominee, and John Thomas, the Libertarian Party nominee, have confirmed their attendance.
Rev. Joshua C. Robertson, pastor of The Rock Church and founder and CEO of Black Pastors United for Education, will moderate the discussion. It will take place at The Rock Church, located at 1501 Market Street in Harrisburg.
This event is open to the media and follows a similar town hall held with vice presidential candidates. The town hall format is intended to give community members the opportunity to have their questions and concerns heard. Questions from the media should be directed to the individual campaigns. Media must register in advance by contacting Jamar Thrasher at JThrasher@BPUE.org or (717) 319-8442.
